Experts Concerned By Leaderless USAID

The delay in naming a USAID Administrator has development experts worried that the Obama administration’s commitment to development as a pillar of foreign policy equal to defense and diplomacy is waning. Secretary Clinton has launched her own review of diplomacy and development, and Congress is working on legislation to reform US development assistance programs, but many claim that development continues to lack a clear advocate inside the Administration.
