U.S. Experts Urge Trump to Engage Africa

Untitled-5IGD President Mima S. Nedelcovych was featured on in a roundup of foreign policy experts weighing in on the President-elect Donald J. Trump’s engagement with Africa.

Nedelcovych noted that Trump’s unexpected win provides Africa with a “business opportunity in the making.

Other policy experts included IGD Frontier Leader Witney Schneidman,senior international advisor for Africa at Covington & Burling and former deputy assistant secretary of state for African Affairs in the State Department under President Bill Clinton.


In response to Trump’s ‘America first’ approach, he wrote in a blog, African leaders need to promote growth and attract investors by working “to improve regulatory environments, build an educated and skilled workforce, and expand access to finance.”
