Given the ever-increasing influence of African born- and bred- businesses in driving economic growth and prosperity in Africa, the IGD Fall 2015 Frontier 100 Forum will focus on how to strengthen Africa’s private sector to spur innovation, job creation, and global competiveness on the continent. This blog series focus on the challenges and opportunities that members of our Frontier Leader Network face when doing business in Africa.
The Fall Forum will be held in Washington D.C. from October 19-21, 2015. The theme “African Businesses in the World-Class Space” reflects the changing business environment in Africa and the influence of African born-and bred-businesses on the continent and in global marketplaces. To set the stage for the Forum, we’re launching a blog series Celebrating the African Business Narrative: Experiences from the Continent.
These stories were previously published on Devex as part of our Changing Perceptions series. From corruption to the challenges and opportunities for mid-sized businesses, the stories in this series highlight different aspects of business in Africa. Hear from representatives of AFIG Funds, Voice of America, American Capital Energy & Infrastructure and more.
