IGD President Mima S. Nedelcovych meets with AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina and leadership team

IGD President Mima S. Nedelcovych visited the headquarters of the African Development Bank in early-December in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where he met with AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina and the Bank’s leadership to discuss deepening their partnership to strengthen Africa’s private sector for sustainable development and inclusive growth.

In Oct. 2016, IGD partnered with the African Development Bank for its Fall Frontier 100 Forum to mobilize Africa’s private sector in creating an enabling business environment to achieve inclusive growth and accelerate progress on the Bank’s bold agenda for the continent’s transformation.

The forum rallied global support and action on achieving top priorities for Africa’s sustainable transformation called the “High 5s”: (1) Light up and power Africa; (2) Feed Africa; (3) Integrate Africa; (4) Industrialize Africa; and (4) Improve the quality of life for the people of Africa.

An IGD-led delegation of African Development Bank officials and IGD Frontier Leaders also met on October 5 with top legislative staffers in the Senate and House of Representatives on Capitol Hill to discuss the AfDB’s “High 5s, and to share insights on African private sector development and business and investment challenges and opportunities on the continent.
