Bingo halls very quickly became widespread across the country, and the number of bingo players rose to a staggering 14 million. Ever since then bingo has been incredibly popular and well-loved throughout the UK. In fact, many people base a large part of the UK’s cultural identity on the game.

Even before the emergence of online bingo it was a heavily played game in the UK, and this means that there naturally has to be ample opportunities for people to play land based bingo games – what would they have played before the invention of online bingo if not? · Private houses: Before the Betting and Gaming Act 1960 made it legal for genuine establishments to provide their bingo services, people loved playing it at home, and this continues through to today. There are countless families and friend groups out there who absolutely love a spot of bingo at home these days.

· School: Part of bingo’s charm is the fact that it can be used to teach kids at school about various things too. This is another place where people play land based bingo games in the UK.
