Which boasts naturally high levels of both methane and carbon dioxide.
Contour Global’s aim is to extract methane from Lake Kivu in order to be able to generate affordable, reliable electricity for Rwandan households. An admirable goal as Rwanda is deemed a high growth company. Which will have an increased demand for affordable, reliable electricity in the decades to follow.
Contour Global is passionate about giving back to the communities which it operates within and completes a lot of philanthropic work in Rwanda. As examples, Contour Global teaches local communities how to farm and fish in a sustainable manner. So that they won’t exhaust their natural resources. Contour Global also runs an AIDs awareness campaign to teach locals about the spread of HIV.
